Analog Influence
There’s something special about film—the anticipation of each frame, its timeless aesthetic, and the thoughtful approach it encourages. Over the years, we’ve built a personal archive of thousands of photographs captured on film and developed a deep appreciation for this medium.
Digital photography gives us the speed and flexibility needed to document a wedding day, but there will always be a film camera close by… maybe two.
Our favorite film stock is Fuji Pro 400H. We love its distinctive palette of soft pastels, gentle greens, and subtle contrast. It’s a look that’s timeless, understated, and continues to inspire us today. Sadly, it was discontinued, but we still have a few rolls tucked away in the freezer waiting for the right moments.

Places That Shape Us
Travel has always been part of our story. We’re continually inspired by new landscapes, cultures, and the people we meet along the way.
Some of our favorite memories include exploring Sabi Sands Game Reserve in South Africa, driving Scotland’s North Coast 500, and returning again and again to discover the incredible beauty of Vietnam.
Wherever we go, our cameras come with us. Photographing in different environments, climates, and cultures has shaped the way we see light, moments, and the world around us.
Travel has also taught us the importance of being prepared. Justin once made the mistake of getting a little too close to the ocean in Zanzibar and lost a camera to the waves the day before a safari. It was a good reminder that beautiful moments are worth protecting. These days, we always travel and photograph weddings with a backup plan, so we can stay focused on the moments that matter most.

Timeless > Trends
The biggest compliment we could receive is hearing that our images feel timeless. Photography continues to evolve, and we enjoy seeing the incredible work being created today. But we’ve never wanted our style to be shaped by what’s popular for the moment. To us, the best photographs are the ones that still feel honest and beautiful many years from now.
Our approach is simple: authentic moments begin with people feeling like themselves.
Throughout a wedding day, our role naturally changes. Sometimes we’re quietly observing as moments unfold. Other times we’ll offer just enough direction to create natural movement and genuine connection. And when it’s time for family formals, we’ll happily step in so everyone knows where to be, then get you back to celebrating as quickly as possible.
As a husband-and-wife team, we each bring our own perspective to the day. While one of us may be focused on the moment itself, the other might be capturing the smiles, tears, laughter, and little interactions happening all around it. Together, we’re able to tell a fuller story through photographs that feel authentic, timeless, and most importantly, like you.
